Highgate House Wine Room

With the kids now all grown up, our client is remodelling the house after it was refurbished by the creative director nearly twenty years ago.  What used to be a funky TV/games room will now be a wine room , a sophisticated grown up space with a cosy fireplace, wine display, storage and TV viewing.  The team at London’s best interior design studio, have produced a scheme that  will see the refreshing of the existing black American walnut floor, stripping out the storage units and generally opening up the space.  Plain spray painted storage will be replaced with luxe walnut veneer and polished Rosso Lepanto marble creating a luxurious and slightly masculine environment.  We will also be installing a bioethanol fire within the new island counter and having a surprise rise and fall slim line TV behind that.  Centred either side will be red wine storage units, displaying the clients super collection of vintages and nestled next to them the all-important wine cooling units.  Centred on the island will be a back bar where glasses, ice, choice liquor and accessories will be on hand to ‘nourish’ the thirsty!  A lighting scheme has been created to highlight the detailing, making this the best go-to bar in Highgate.
